ABOUT
Since AVVCC24, the global vaccine landscape has shifted rapidly, with funding cuts, rising misinformation and declining immunisation rates. Stronger alignment across government, industry, academia and public health is essential to reinforce the value of vaccines.
Australia is advancing infectious disease control through a new national Centre for Disease Control from January 2026 and major reforms including the National Immunisation Strategy, HTA review, Strategic Review of R&D and the forthcoming 10 Year National Health and Medical Research Strategy. In July 2025, Biointelect was awarded an MRFF BioMedTech Incubator grant to establish Biointelect Venturer, strengthening national vaccine innovation.
AVVCC26 brings these priorities together, providing a critical platform for collaboration and reinforcing Australia’s leadership in the global vaccine value chain.
AVVCC26 focuses on strengthening public private partnerships across the vaccine value chain.
Bringing together more than 600 members of the Australian Vaccine Value Chain Community, the conference will foster collaboration, respond to the evolving geopolitical landscape and support Australia’s national and regional health goals.
The program will highlight key initiatives including the Australian Centre for Disease Control, the National Health and Medical Research Strategy and the National Immunisation Strategy, while addressing vaccine hesitancy, equity of access, and the role of funding, policy and regulation in enabling innovation.
Building on AVVCC24, outcomes will be captured in the AVVCC26 Conference Outcomes Report to drive tangible progress across the Australian vaccine ecosystem.
